Aims and Objectives
1. To sensitize the Music teachers towards the needs and interests of the
students.
2. To facilitate the acquisition of new knowledge in the field of Music and to
provide them with a broad understanding of current trends in it.
3. To know the key role played by Music teachers in providing joyful
learning experiences to students.
4. To promote awareness and assistance in acquiring new competencies of
effective teaching.
5. To provide exposure to various forms of performing arts such as
vocal/instrumental Music, dance, drama, mime, skit, puppetry etc.
6. To refresh their knowledge about the latest tools and techniques of ICT
and digital classrooms for effective Teaching-Learning process.
7. To prepare the teachers for their changing roles as facilitators of
learning because of the changing needs of students and societal demands.
8. To discuss in detail the importance of Art-integrated Learning as
envisaged by NEP 2020 and enable them to design their classroom transactions
appropriately through AIL as per the level of the students.
9. To develop their understanding of the strategies for enhancement of
learning skills with emphasis on children with learning disabilities &
CWSN.
10. To facilitate mutual exchange of ideas and views on making Music
learning joyful for students.
11. To plan their classroom teaching creatively by presenting Demo
lessons to enable optimum learning by students.
